CARE AND MAINTANENCE:

1. How long should I burn my candle for the first time?

The first burn is important to create a full melt pool which may take about 2-4 hours to achieve. This will ensure an even pool at each burn. Having an even pool
minimize tunneling.

2. How long does a typical candle burn?

Our brand’s artistry of candle making lies in a meticulous formula that harmonizes all the elements that make up a candle. A candle that burns too quickly signals a discord among these elements fighting for space, whereas a slow-burning candle showcases a harmonious interplay, where all parts work together seamlessly, creating a balanced and serene burning experience.

3. What type of trimmer should I use, and how often should I trim my wick?

Nail clipper! Yes, a nail clipper for aesthetics and precision with our crackling wooden wicks! With your tool, trim the charred top before each burn for a slow and clean burn while allowing an even pool and overall efficient performance.

4. What should I do if my candle starts to tunnel?

Aluminum foil! First, trim down the charred top of the wick. Secondly, wrap aluminum foil around the top and base of the vessel while creating an opening at the top center. This method allows heat to trap and melt down the wax evenly along the sides of the vessel and only the center of the candle melts. The opening of the center allows the wick to get oxygen and burn properly. Now relight the candle and allow it to burn until the wax reaches an even pool.

5. What should I do if my candle starts to smoke excessively?

Simply put out the candle. Then clip and trim the entire charred wood top to avoid smoking and black residue on the side of the glass and then reburn.

6. When should I retire my candle?

The sustainable materials used in our candles make the wax burn completely to the bottom of the jar. It is recommended when there is about ½ inch of wax left.

7. Where should I burn my candle?

On a heat-resistant surface, away from drafts, linen, curtains and in a well-ventilated room. Candles should be burned away from reach of young children and pets and should not be left unattended.

8. Can I burn my candles in the bathroom/ shower/steaming?

Let’s talk about water and candle wax interaction and the impact on candle performance! When water interacts with candle wax, it can disrupt the molecular structure, leading to a variety of outcomes depending on the situation. Excess moisture can impact the burning process causing sputtering, smoking, or uneven melting. Additionally, it can lead to poor scent throw because water moisture can dilute/ weaken fragrance oils and block their diffusion. Also, water moisture can create surface blemishes or frosting if aesthetic is your aim.

9. What should I do if my candle spills?

If your candle spills, the most effective way to clean it up is to allow the wax to cool down and harden. Then gently scrape off the solidify wax with a dull knife or plastic card. Use ice pack or ice cubes in a plastic bag placed directly on the wax spill to quickly harden it. For fabric items, you may require placing the item in the freezer to fully harden the wax before scraping it off. For any remaining residue, use mild soap and warm water to wipe clean.

We handcraft our candles in small batches with love, attention to details and aesthetics in mind. Please allow up to 5 days in handling and an additional 3-4 days for delivery.

4. How can I track my order?

Once an order has been placed, a tracking will immediately be generated and provided in real time which is accessible via your email or text message.

5. Do you ship internationally?

Shipping is currently available only in the United States and Canada.

RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

1. I don't like my scent. Can I exchange it?

As we want to make every candle burn a moment to remember, we are unable to accommodate returns, exchanges or refunds at this time once the order has been shipped. Due to our products being crafted and tailored, we plan to consider these options in the future.

2. My product arrived damaged, help!

We try to ensure that we package our products as safely and securely as possible. Due to our company having no control over how the mailing service/carrier handles our packages, if you received your order damaged, please contact us immediately via email and let’s work together to find a solution!

3. I changed my mind. Can I cancel my order?

Currently, we are operating on a small scale and producing in small batches. At this time, canceling an order can be made within the 24-hour window. Refunds can take up to 7 business days depending on your bank or credit company.

5. How do I choose the right scent for my space?

Each customer’s preferences and mood in candles are highly individualized. One can appreciate sweet candles and prefer sweet- floral or citrusy notes while cannot be associated with food. This suggests that they enjoy a sweet fragrant profile with a minimal vanilla base. Strong vanilla notes can be found in scents like strawberry shortcake, pecan pie, or blueberry cobbler.
